It's re:Invent Week!!!
This week is AWS re:Invent week when tens of thousands of cloud nerds converge on Las Vegas to travel large congested distances, wait in queues, suffer from resource limits, and burn money. The beauty of re:Invent is it mirrors your cloud infrastructure.
Will we be at re:Invent? Well, I'll be making an appearance at the Stackery booth. I will look a little stiff. The conversation will be flat. And I'll be board overall... When you see me you'll get it.
Go visit our Stackery friends at booth 2032. We've teamed up with them to distribute the Serverless DevOps ebook to AWS re:Invent attendees. Plus, see what else is in store at the Stackery booth!
If this is your first re:Invent my biggest tip is to drink water. Lots of water. If you think you've already had a lot, then drink that much more. Living on coffee and alcohol for a week in the desert will wreck your body. (I know painfully from last year.) Here's some more advice as well:
Not physically at re:Invent and want to join in the fun and thought leadering? Here's a thought leader pro-tip. You don't actually have to attend a conference to pretend like you're there. Just watch the live streams, follow the #reinvent hashtag, and tweet like you're there. (This also works if you're a conference speaker and had too much fun at the speaker dinner the night before.)
Last Week's pre:Invent Announcements
AWS announced several serverless related enhancements for the serverless ecosystem. Read the links below this week to catch the most notable.
